New Students Only: Intro to Library Research
Do you really know how to do research? Save time and learn how to get the most out of your Library with a hands-on session about using databases, the library catalog, and print materials that aren’t online. Uris Library Classroom (gallery level). An hour and a half.

Home to the social sciences and humanities collections, these three libraries contain rich resources for the entire Cornell community. Start in Uris Library’s upper lobby. About 40 minutes.

Exploring Cornell’s Rare Books & Manuscripts, Kroch Library
Cornell’s richest historical treasures live underground in Kroch Library, home to the Library’s rare books, manuscripts, photographs, and archives. The collections span from ancient cuneiform tablets, to an original manuscript of the Gettysburg Address written in Abraham Lincoln’s own hand, to comic books and hip hop.
- Meet at the Rotunda on the top floor of Kroch Library, about 40 minutes after the start of the Olin, Kroch, and Uris walking tours. About 20 minutes.

eLibrary Open Houses for Engineering, Math and Physical Science students
What can an e-library do for you? Where are your course reserves and some good study spaces to go with them? What exactly does EMPS stand for anyway? Get answers to these and all the questions you might have about the three libraries under these related disciplines at either of our two orientation sessions.
